ClothingClothing is vital for the health of a homeless person, particularly in cold or inclement weather. Spending countless hours on the street distresses clothes. One of the greatest clothing needs for our homeless clients is new socks and underwear.
Quality dress clothes are also important. For Program graduates, Mission guests and referrals from other treatment programs, job interview clothing is an important part of their next step forward in life.
Guests may fill out a clothing request in person or over the phone on Monday or Tuesday. Clothing pick-up takes place Wednesdays from 3-5:30 pm.
New York City Rescue Mission accepts gently-used men's clothing to distribute to our guests.
